Only elderly women prefer to wear metal bracelets and anklets. Yellow and light blue are the preferred colours of their glass beads. The Datoga (known to their Maasai neighbours as the Mangati and to the Iraqw as Babaraig) live in northern Tanzania and are primarily pastoralists.
